The Winter Solstice is our shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, which lends to the longest night. We have just entered into a deep darkness and will slowly start making our way into the light again. There is a noticeable stillness this time of year as the snow falls and the cold sets in. Animals slow down, we slow down. We will be drawn toward finding solace in the warmth of our homes. Soon, after the Winter Solstice, the sun will begin to strengthen and offer more light. It is during this time of rebirth and renewal that we can think about releasing anything that no longer serves us and set intentions for what could be.
We hope you will join us for this Winter Solstice celebration! We will begin the evening with a Mini Sound Bath, presented by Meg Munster, from Mile High Mindfulness. The Sound Bath is an auditory meditative experience and the goal is deep relaxation. All you need to do is lay down, or sit, and enjoy the sounds around you. After, Adrianne, from Ascend Hypnotherapy, will lead us through a guided meditation preparing us for Paula’s, Herbalist & Reiki Master, activity involving reflection, releasing, and setting intentions. We will then have the opportunity to sit with any or all of the readers. See below for more information regarding each offering. We will finish the event with another relaxing Mini Sound Bath giving us time and space to absorb all the information we just received.
Tea and cider will be provided! Each participant will be given a candle to light and carry with them as part of the celebration.
